For services to indoor cricket
Viv Blakemore
Viv has spent many hours at the EKSS Hall, most cricketers will know her from her voulunteering to score for many of the Thanet clubs including Westgate, Goodnestone, Pegasus, Broadstairs, Ramsgate Corinthians and Electric (and maybe others as well) all clubs are extremely grateful for her assistance along with the neatness and accuracy of her score keeping. Up to 4 years ago Viv could also be found running the bar and lounge area along with husband Ernie which they did for about 10 years. Viv is putting away her coloured pens and pencils to retire gracefully and enjoy time away from the scorebox either in her garden or with her family.

For services to indoor cricket Awarded by the KCB Thanet District for achievement or services to Thanet Cricket
Les Nower
Les who is 91 years young has been involved with Sandwich Cricket Club and Thanet Cricket Administration for numerous years. He is currently President of the Thanet Branch of the ECB but has held many positions in that organisations previous guise as the Thanet AKCC where he first joined that committee in 1950. Les was also the Thanet representative on the Kent Clubs Cricket Board for almost 40 years. George Cocks stated in his presentation "Les has a wealth of information and experience, and he is usually the first person that I and other members of the current committee will turn to for advice".

There was one last award to be made, probably a one off. George Cocks said in his review of this mans contribution to Thanet Indoor Cricket. Without the efforts of this person there may never have been indoor cricket in Thanet or certainly not 36 years ago when the first match took place. Once games are played results have to be kept along with statistics. John Websper has collated and compiled the TICL statistics from day and has formerly announced his retirement from this onerous but interesting function. Indoor cricketers wait with anticipation to see if they are top of their divisions averages, scored the most runs, taken the most wickets or been the most economic bowler. George presented John with engraved crystal glass to acknowledge his achievements and to thank him for all his work.
